Empowering you to make changes and
restore balance to your life
About
We all experience times of stress, anger, and grief;
it is normal to feel distress as we navigate through this pandemic era;
relationships can be a minefield of highs, lows, and confusion;
anxiety and low self-esteem are common in today's social media drenched society;
chronic illness and chronic pain can be debilitating.
Picture, now, how fantastic life will be, once you have restored balance to your life.
Change is possible. Change is fast. Change is permanent.

I am a Registered Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner with the Natural Health Practitioners of New Zealand (NHPNZ) Registration Board and a Professional Member of The Association for NLP (ANLP). As such, I work within the NLP Unified Code of Ethics and ANLP Code of Ethical Conduct.
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Science and Technology (Psychology) through Massey University, a Diploma of Professional Counselling through the New Zealand Institute of Professional Counselling (NZIPC), NLP Master Practitioner Certification through the International Association for NLP (IANLP), and a Bachelor of Business Studies through Massey University. I am also currently completing a Master of Science (Health Psychology) through Massey University.
My counselling studies included Person-Centred, Solution-Focused, Gestalt, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapies. My NLP studies included Time Line Therapy, Fundamental Coaching Skills, Transforming Communication, and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. In addition, I have undertaken professional development courses in Mindfulness, Imago Relationship Therapy, Resilience and Trauma Recovery, and the Grief Experience. I am also certified in Advanced Suicide Prevention (Screening and Triage), Volunteer Palliative Care, and Understanding and Preventing Dementia.
On a personal level, I am a proud parent to a young woman who at the age of ten developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) - an incurable neurological condition which left her in so much pain that she was unable to walk, sleep, or even attend school. As such, I have first-hand experience of the grief, fears, challenges, anxieties, and isolation experienced by parents of a child with a chronic illness and/or disability.
Many years earlier, when I was in my early 20s, my father was diagnosed with colorectal cancer which had metastasized. For 18 months I was by my father's side as he attended treatments and I translated for him during doctor/specialist appointments. He took his final breath in Hospice - which ignited my passion not only to give back to Hospice through voluntary work, but to provide companionship, comfort, and space to explore emotions as patients and their families navigate the challenges presented by terminal illness.
And then I discovered NLP...
Thanks to NLP, my daughter was able to cure herself in just three days! Which is what sparked my interest in NLP and the desire to learn how I can employ NLP techniques to help my clients. During my NLP training, I successfully cured myself of chronic neurological pain caused by Cervical Radiculopathy, addressed debilitating phobias, healed from past traumas, improved my relationships, and quite literally, "found" myself.
The desire to reflect light into dark places and to help people heal is what drives me.
